Koi Fever is REAL!

Koi Fever is REAL!

Koi aren’t just fish—they’re the VIPs of the pond, full of personality & judgmental stares. Here’s how to keep them happy!

Koi Care Basics
🏡 Pond: 3+ ft deep, 1,000+ gallons, strong filtration, pH 7.0-8.5. 🌡️ Temp: 59-77°F (15-25°C). Too cold? Use a heater.👯 Friends: No aggressive fish—Koi hate drama.

Seasonal Care
🌱 Spring: More food, parasite watch.☀️ Summer: Provide shade—sunburn isn’t cute. 🍂 Fall: Reduce feeding. ❄️ Winter: Keep a hole in the ice for oxygen.

Feeding:
🥗 Menu: Pellets, live food, veggies. 📆 Schedule:
• 70°F+ – 2-3x/day (they’ll beg);  50-70°F – 1x/day (they’ll judge); below 50°F – Barely feed (hibernation mode).⚠️ Overfeeding = Dirty pond + Sad Koi.

Common Koi Issues & Fixes
⚪ Ich (White Spots) → Heat + meds.🩸 Fin Rot → Clean water + meds.🌲 Dropsy (Swollen Body) → Isolate & treat. 🛑 Ulcers → Antibiotics + clean water. 🕯️ Koi Pox → No cure, but good care helps.

Final Thoughts: Happy Koi = Clean water, good food, and silent judgment.
